In today’s world, access to reliable financial advice can make all the difference, especially for those who feel overwhelmed by complex financial situations. As the Project Lead for the Financial Resource Tile on the Connect2Support Website from the Lincolnshire Financial Inclusion Partnership, I’ve had the privilege of helping to bridge that gap by designing and launching a council-approved platform aimed at supporting local residents.
From the outset, my goal was simple: create a user-friendly website that makes financial guidance easy to access. By collaborating with local authorities, advice centres, and service providers, I built a comprehensive resource that provides clear and actionable advice, making it easier for residents to get the support they need.
A key factor in the success of this project was cross-sector collaboration. Gaining council approval wasn’t just about meeting technical requirements; it was about demonstrating how the platform could make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Through clear communication of the project’s goals and community benefits, we were able to gain the necessary support.
Once I had the green light, the real work began. I led the development of the site, ensuring it met all the necessary technical requirements while keeping the user experience top of mind. Testing, content curation, and launch all required careful attention, but the end result was worth it — a platform where Lincolnshire residents can find reliable, easy-to-understand financial advice at the click of a button.
To ensure the platform continues to serve the community effectively, the council has set up feedback tools to measure user engagement and track how well the site is meeting its goals. This way, we can continuously improve and provide even more value to those who need it most.
The launch of this tile within the Connect2Support website is a step forward in making financial resilience a reality for everyone in Lincolnshire. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m excited to see how this platform continues to make a difference in the community.
